The ‘Kuniyoshi Award’ is newly founded by Yasuo Kuniyoshi & his wife’s family.
Kuniyoshi was one of the most respected successful pioneer artists of his time,
who moved and lived in the US from Japan during War time.

Color Speaks

Color Speaks: Five Artists from the Art Students League of New York

April 16 – May 29, 2011

Featuring work by Bruce Dorfman, Hiromitsu Kuroo, Noah Landfield, Yuko Ueda and Deborah Winiarski, the exhibition Color Speaks brings together a creative group of artists whose individualistic declaration of form and color transport the viewer into a space of contemplation. Additionally, on exhibit will be several pieces from the Art Students League of New York Permanent Collection.

Grant Winners Exhibition 2010

Patrons of the Art Students League who established grants, some going back many decades, realized long ago the importance of recognizing the accomplishments of League artists. Today the grants encourage all our students to strive for that recognition. It is with great pride that the League presents the third annual Grant Winners Exhibition, featuring the work of students who earned the League’s most prestigious grants in 2008.
